III EDITION STREET ART FOOD FEST

Mural made in acrylic paint, sprays and markers. 2018

In this proposal we want to reflect the blindness of man facing a problem as urgent as climate change and the problems derived from it. How our lack of interest and  understanding can lead to serious difficulties life on this planet. An attempt to make the world and future generations aware of the importance of respecting our ecosystems and having good habits.

In the illustration the central figure of a human being is presented in a disfigured pose where he seems to be trying to carry the weight of something on his back, but blindly, without knowing. While in the background the figures of two of the most threatened living systems on Earth, the plant and animal world, appear. Forests face droughts, desertification and deforestation, and animals, like the polar bear or the emperor penguin,  have to face the loss of their habitats and their own extinction.

The green light bulbs broken reflect the failed ideas of the human being to tackle this problem and at the foot of it a crumbling terrain, a world that vanishes in the form of clouds, floating leaves and the foreseeable appearance of death as a scene future.

What role are we going to play?
